Default Suits and hats

Looking at the Cleveland postcard makes me appreciate the costume department for "Eight Men Out". The movie captured the style of the times. BUT is it just me or did people just look older in those days compared to 25 and 30 year olds now?

They did look older. We have the advantages of electricity, heat, air conditioning, hot showers, cars, etc. For those players, life was much more difficult, so they aged faster.
