My understanding is this was a NY Daily News insert in 1955.

Always thought this card was neat, but I guess it's truly "pre-war".

Thanks. I also picked up two others. The Williams is evidently also from 1955, and Brooksie is 1962.

Perhaps a New Yorker on N54 can shed light, but I gather these were inserts to the Sunday edition of the NY Daily News (aka the Sunday News?).

Are you sure 1962 on the Brooksie? I don't "think" they used the block lettering on the jersey until 1963, but I could be incorrect. Either way I think those are some "GREAT" pickups.
