Yeah, these are bad fakes. Hope you didn't pay much for them, and also hope you didn't use google to find a card forum to try and rip someone off. Nothing personal but this is what I think every time someone joins the forum just to show off some reprints. Ironically this is the worst place on the internet to try and sell a fake tobacco card.

Your Cobb card is a reprint of this one. Notice the creases are identical. As already said, I hope you didn't pay too much.

We're here, Leon. You get a noobie pass on your first thread.

May I be the first to welcome you to the forum. What else do you collect? Any lower priced stuff for those of us without deep pockets?

I just saw a post by him...it could have been this thread. He certainly has been missed. He is a wealth of knowledge and his auction and set sale catalogs were always a welcomed find in the mailbox !!

I'd agree with this. And this particular poster is turning a blind eye to everything he's being told, is ignoring all evidence and still insists his cards are real. That's a very scammer-like quality in my opinion. Honestly, not only are they fakes, they're obvious and poorly done fakes at that. Nobody here is going to be fooled by these.

I think he approached the wrong forum for whatever silly game he is plotting, probably listing these cards on Ebay showing some kind of endorsement from us that they are authentic. Right. What a loser. Note that he joined us, gosh, this month.

I actually have another card with the same back stamp. I posted about it a while ago to see if others were out there. It was authenticated and slab bed by SGC.

Was the back stamp on yours under or over the paper loss?

If I had to guess whether the OP is a scammer or frightened because they paid big bucks for fake cards, my guess would be neither. My guess would be that s/he is a troll, just looking to start something here.

Which, well, worked.
