I do find it interesting that there have been four new Drums to come out of the St. Louis area in less than a year, which includes Scott Tiek's (cardsfan73) find of Starr last year. It makes me want to scour the city looking for more.

Hi Jason

Approx. 6 years ago, Ron Oser was contacted by a St Louis resident who had a T205/T206 find which included 51 - DRUM cards.

T206 DRUM's = 43 cards

T205 DRUM's = 8 cards

Is this a fantastic find....or, what ?

Very impressive Ted. I never knew that St. Louis was a hot bed for Drums. It still floors me that Scott found his not two miles from where I sit, at an antique store that I have been in numerous times. I was very happy for him, and admittedly, a little jealous

Is there any list of names that are believed to exist with Drum backs but have not yet been found?

T206 resource also shows Ames (hands over head) with AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 and UZIT backs.....and, these front/back combos do not exist.

In 35 years that I have been collecting T206's, I have never seen (or heard of) the Blue Chase with a DRUM back. And, I'm constantly searching for blue Chase cards.

........v

I could say the same for Matty (dark cap). Perhaps some one else will chime in here with scans of these cards.

These 2 guys with DRUM backs are theoretically possible; and, as this thread shows....DRUM cards continue to "come out of the woodwork ". So, they may yet be discovered.

Default August Auction

Yes, we are going to have a summer auction but it will not be a Live auction. The ending format will be the 30-minute clock just like our Spring and Fall catalog auctions.

AMERICAN BEAUTY 350 and CYCLE 350 brands have indeed met this criteria. BROAD LEAF 350 and DRUM are still a work in progress.

Furthermore......one DRUM card from the 350/460 series remains to be found......

Mullin (bat)

The backs of all three look off center the same amount top to bottom and
left to right, maybe they came from the same sheet.

Hey Pat

I think you have the beginning of a new project here with your observation regarding these three DRUM cards.

Conceivably, you could figure out the composition of a given DRUM sheet by checking-out all the known DRUM
cards with these exact off-center backs.

It's a highly probable undertaking, as most DRUM cards are unique (or only 2 examples are known of each).
