I do find it interesting that there have been four new Drums to come out of the St. Louis area in less than a year, which includes Scott Tiek's (cardsfan73) find of Starr last year. It makes me want to scour the city looking for more.

Hi Jason Approx. 6 years ago, Ron Oser was contacted by a St Louis resident who had a T205/T206 find which included 51 - DRUM cards. T206 DRUM's = 43 cards T205 DRUM's = 8 cards Is this a fantastic find....or, what ? TED Z . |

Is there any list of names that are believed to exist with Drum backs but have not yet been found?

T206 resource also shows Ames (hands over head) with AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 and UZIT backs.....and, these front/back combos do not exist. In 35 years that I have been collecting T206's, I have never seen (or heard of) the Blue Chase with a DRUM back. And, I'm constantly searching for blue Chase cards. ![]() ![]() ![]() I could say the same for Matty (dark cap). Perhaps some one else will chime in here with scans of these cards. These 2 guys with DRUM backs are theoretically possible; and, as this thread shows....DRUM cards continue to "come out of the woodwork ". So, they may yet be discovered. TED Z . |

Yes, we are going to have a summer auction but it will not be a Live auction. The ending format will be the 30-minute clock just like our Spring and Fall catalog auctions.

Here you go, Tom Theoretical DRUM cards from the 350-only series yet to be found (75 subjects) Abbott Anderson Arndt Beck Beckley Bender (trees) Blackburne Bliss Brain Brashear Bresnahan (bat) Burchell Burns Bush Butler Campbell Carrigan Cassidy Chappelle Chase (portrait-blue) Clancy Clymer Collins (A's) Cravath Cree Doolan (fielding) Dubuc Dunn (Baltimore) Dunn (Brooklyn) Dygert Easterly Ferguson Flanagan Fromme Ganzel Graham (St Louis) Grimshaw Hall Hannifan Hoffman (Providence) Hoffman (St Louis) Howard (Chicago) Huggins (portrait) Hulswitt Jones (Detroit) Kruger Lord Malarkey Marquard (portrait) Mathewson (dark cap) McCormick Mc Elveen McGinley McGinnity McGlynn McIntyre (Detroit) Merritt Miller (Pittsburg) Milligan Myers (bat) Oberlin O'Brien O'Neill Paskert Phelan Poland Quillen Sharpe Shaw (Providence) Stanage J. Tannehill (Washington) White (Buffalo) Wilson Wright Irv Young The above list is based on my A-B-C-D theory (posted in 2008) that these four T206 brands were printed simultaneously with 190 subjects in the 350-only series. http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...eaf-cycle-drum AMERICAN BEAUTY 350 and CYCLE 350 brands have indeed met this criteria. BROAD LEAF 350 and DRUM are still a work in progress. ![]() Furthermore......one DRUM card from the 350/460 series remains to be found...... Mullin (bat) TED Z . |

The backs of all three look off center the same amount top to bottom and
left to right, maybe they came from the same sheet. |

Hey Pat
I think you have the beginning of a new project here with your observation regarding these three DRUM cards. Conceivably, you could figure out the composition of a given DRUM sheet by checking-out all the known DRUM cards with these exact off-center backs. It's a highly probable undertaking, as most DRUM cards are unique (or only 2 examples are known of each). TED Z . |
