The OP has now said twice he wants help in prioritizing HIS OWN want list. He isn't asking what's on ours.

Actually this referred to how would the order of your list look if those 8 cards were the ones on your list. However in the OPs follow up he did mention he wouldn't mind seeing our personal want lists. So it seems you're both right.

Bob,I don't think anyone would disagree with your first choice. Most of the cards I listed are some what obtainable for me in low grade. After some saving and sacrifice. I don't know if I will ever own the entire list. And I tend to get side tracked.
Like I know a guy at the local card show that has a few Jim Brown rookies. So I've been considering just picking one up to knock something off my list.i think this might have recently bump higher in my list. This why I posted this thread. But the majority seems to agree with the 1954 topps Hank Aaron.

Peter-- maybe they just think the OP is working on a bum list and should be looking for their cards instead. Maybe they just want the competition for their lists

The answer depends on your condition bias. If you are happy with lower grade cards, virtually all of the cards on the OP list are do-able. If you want top number plastic, not so much.
As for prioritizing a buy I'd go after the card I like the most first. Again, using the OP list and assuming I don't have any of the cards listed: 1954 topps Hank Aaron 1952 topps Willie mays 1958 topps Jim brown 1968 topps Nolan Ryan 1953 topps Willie mays 1953 topps Mickey mantle 1965 topps Joe Namath 1986 fleer Michael Jordan I don't like 1953 Topps, Namath or Jordan. Aaron's RC beats any other card on the list IMO, and Jim Brown is the GOAT of football. I grew up marveling at Ryan, and the 1952 Mays is a card I owned as a kid and would not mind getting back. Topps of my want list right now would probably be these: 1968 Topps Ryan: see above 1954 Topps Gordie Howe: love the card 1972 Topps Julius Erving: favorite as a kid; only one I need of his early cards 1972 Topps Pete Maravich: really like the card 1954 Topps Ernie Banks: great card, had when I was a kid and want it back

Great feed back guys, Aaron with out a doubt it looks like. For the longest
Time 1952 topps mays was number one.

I had a chance to pick up a good looking Jim brown rookie . It was very hard to pass up 🤔. Great focus and color , no crease, rounded corners but not to bad , and the centering was off a bit right to left .

Not in any particular order, 1971 Bazooka #ed Randy Hundley test card, 1968 Topps Venezuelan Byron Browne, 1967 Ashland Ron Santo, 1972 Topps Venezuelan #87 Jose Cardenal, #38 Jim Hickman, #41 Ron Santo (real, not counterfeits), 1968 Atlantic Oil Ernie Banks and Billy Williams (fat chance on those), 1981 FBI (MSA) disc Dave Kingman, 1980 Chicago Tribune Scrapbook Rick Reuschel-Britt Burns, practically any 1966 Pro's Pizza other than Santo or Williams, Rawlings-Wilson-Spalding-MacGregor Advisory photos of Don Kaiser, Randy Hundley, Ernie Broglio, and Cal Koonce in Cubs uniforms, and an uncracked 1974 Kellogg's Ron Santo (Cubs Back), although it's guaranteed to crack as soon as I get it.

Right now my want list looks like this...
Reasonably centered, EX to NM common Braves Topps card from 1960 to 1965 that's in my price range. |

I have a 52 Topps Mays already so I can't say that is my second choice. Mine are 54 Aaron like you. 1955 Sandy Koufax 1954 Ernie Banks 1956 Mantle (love that card) 1955 Clemente Rookie The rest are 1952 Topps that I'd like to add to my collection, which include, Joe Black, Warren Spahn, Duke Snider, Yogi Berra, Eddie Mathews, Billy Martin, Bill Dickey, Andy Pafko, Phil Rizzuto, Richie Ashburn, and a few others of course. Most of what I have listed above are pipe dreams however as I personally can't ever seeing me being able to afford them, especially the rookies I listed.
