Game worn experts will chime in as I only have a limited game worn base to go from, but this appears to be something made in the 1960's era replicating a 1922 Browns full uniform. I believe this hall of fame tagging was done right around 1960. I have included a Hunt auction link for a 1960 Mazeroski with the same tagging. Good luck with it. Jason

This uniform is from an August 19th, 1958 St. Louis Old Timers game. The event featured players from both the Cardinals and the Browns. The Browns players included Ken Williams, Hank Severied, and Dick Sisler. Dizzy Dean took part in the event sporting a size 50 jersey and size 48 pants. The Rawlings Sporting Good Company who supplied the uniforms, said they made use of old Sporting News photographs in order to produce the outfits.
A pretty detailed account of the event with additional uniform information can be found in the 27 August 1958 edition of The Sporting News; page 5. Dave Grob |

Boy- you guys are good.
Thanks so much for all your help. I don't know much about uniforms, but I'm getting an education. I was hoping it was an earlier uniform- but I kind of figured it wasn't from 1922 based on the label and box. |

That style of Rawlings tag is associated with the fabric by the same name. The 1952 Rawlings Roundup; Issue #4 has a great article on this lighter fabric (5.71 oz per yard) that is made from 45% wool and 55% Dacron. Had this uniform fabric been period to 1922 it would have been all wool 8oz fabric.
