Congratulations I know you've been looking for a while. Which one did you get?

Default Tango

I was interested in the two Tango egg cards but ended up not bidding. One, I really had no idea how to properly value the cards and two, I have a hard time starting another set when I have yet to finish the 1954 Red Heart set.

I was interested in hearing if $720 (comm included) is a good deal for the two cards?

Thanks.

Nada. But was happy to go to the White Plains show today and pick up a nice Gehrig card. Didn't pay a 20% premium either.

I was lucky enough to win the Dummy Taylor lot of cards including (2) C46 Imperials, E91A Caramel, Fan Craze, and a few Souvenir Post Cards.

I was shut out on 4 others...

How was the show? Wanted to go, but it wasn't in the cards with the Mets game on Friday night and birthday parties to attend all weekend.

The premium is just part of the price. Right, Bob??

I am super thrilled to add another unique pose signed T206 to my collection. Welcome aboard Mr. Sullivan!

I am also really excited to have picked up the only signed Obak I've ever seen, and it's the future 1925 AL MVP Roger Peckinpaugh!

AND... I even added a pair of signed M101-2 from the Doc Steen collection to bring my total number up to 11!

I also picked up a dupe of Larry Doyle if anyone is interested in picking one up...

I was underbidder on the Carrigan/Schulte/Doyle. Don't forget it comes with the Carrigan letter (signed by Carrigan) as well.

Amazing to me how many people even here complain about paying 15% or 20% "premium" or "extra" in an auction. As you know, just means, in most cases, that the hammer price was 15% or 20% lower.

I know. It's incomprehensible to me.

Sometimes it means you paid market price, including the premium. And sometimes it means you paid the market price and then paid 20% extra. Could mean either one depending on how informed the bidding was how efficient the market worked.

Thanks.
I think it's market price for these Tango Eggs, or a bit high, but not much. But these are among those cards most commonly found, whereas you'll never complete a set with several other cards known from only one or two examples.

If anyone won Old Judge lot #69, I would like to trade for or purchase the Donnelly card. Please email me at oldjudge@gmail.com if you can help.

Thanks--Jay

I appreciate the reply. From my research, I knew the Beschler was the most commonly found. I had no knowledge has to how many specimens have graded at the 7 and 8 level. The cards are nice looking.
