not sure what on Earth is going on in this image, or when on Earth this photograph was taken, or who on Earth is being depicted...any help would be greatly appreciated

Great photo on that one. Congrats.

Here are some kids playing baseball....and some not paying attention. I am guessing 1880s on it. It is about 8 1/2 x 5 1/5 and has a purple stamp on back that says-

Princeton 1866 or 1867. Not a very good scan. Maybe Leon can make it larger.

Here's one with a better scan- circa 1868 Agallians of Wesleyan University in Middletown Ct. Great pose. This image depicts the 3 bases and the pitcher's plate and home plate. I know of only one other photograph from this early period to show these.
