I don't think this is a big deal. A lot of folks post cards on the Pickup threads that they plan to sell immediately. As long they don't explicitly say in the Pickup thread that "hey, and this card is for sale for $X" then it's A okay with me.

I think it would be better if the pickup thread was reserved for collecting. It just feels wrong to post cards that you don't like enough to keep right after someone posts a card they are really excited to get. I never post cards that I am planning to sell, and I think pretty much everyone else does the same. It seems like it is already an unwritten rule.

Default Pick-ups April or Not

Sold the set-complete (520 of 524, minus "big 4") a few years ago. Collecting the E93 thru E98 but it's a slow process, got bored so started acquiring some of these back again in dupes, trips and then some

Raw seen here, many graded as well. Some acquired in April, most all late last year and YTD

Default T213-2

I found this T213-2 that is miscut top to bottom and has a little bit of Zimmerman, Chicago Nat. on top.

Default April Pickup

Very proud to have my very own 33 Ruth. Started with the red one. I think I will go for the full standing pose next when my bank account recovers.

Being one of the worst spellers ever, I always enjoy the misspelling of Puglistic !!! The T226s are great cards, used to own a few, now only Young Donahoe. I'd would have hated to be the copywriter who made that mistake

Although it is still better than the T225s, were someone misspelled the company name !!! Khedivial vs. Khedival

nothing much added here ..................

That is one of the things that attracts me to these cards. And the names, I mean who wouldn't want to be known as "Fighting Dick?"

Except Joey (hi Joey) has been warned multiple times for soliciting offers to buy, sell or trade on this board after promising not to, in order to be allowed back. He is not allowed on our BST forums for a reason (actually many reasons if I recall correctly). He had many selling and trading issues some time ago.
Granted it's been a few years but it seems the ban is still necessary. In essence he is skirting the rule in order to generate interest to sell things. At least that is the way it looks to me.

ps...I should add, otherwise in ordinary cases I agree with you 100%

...This one may be a tough sell to The WidowGarcia....from a " barely 'Fair' " to a solid "Fair".....in my opinion , by replacing a card with wrinkles on the face and horrid corners with one which has oh okay a few faint stains but now the wrinkle is 'way over on the neck and the corners are really decent ( for a fair card )......right about here is where I started babbling " homina homina homina ".

... 1936 R314 Goudey Wide Pen Premiums Luke Appling Type 2 .

I've never understood why more pre-war collectors don't collect the Sweet Caporal Domino Discs (PX7). This was an especially tough one for me in trying to complete the set but I found it and bought it this week.
