Nice Plow Boy tin Ted. Thanks for sharing...
Here's a unique item. Seems it's one side of a Cracker Jack shipping crate that once transported the caramel treat. Very large in size measuring 33" x 9". Etched into the wood underneath the Cracker Jack name is their infamous slogan, "The more you eat, the more you want". I plan on having a small wooden vintage frame made for it and display it as is.

Very cool Cracker Jack piece, Tony. Framing it sounds like a great idea too. Congrats on the pick up.
ps....Please consider not restoring it, if that were ever considered. Quote:

Thank you Leon. In no way will this be restored. I think it's perfect just the way it is.

As I continue to clear out my grandmothers attic, I am finding new and interesting things. I have yet to find any vintage baseball cards, but it doesn't stop me from remaining hopeful. Yesterday, I stumbled across a large cardboard box, that belonged to my great godmother. She was an elementary school teacher, and this box looked as if it were "teaching curriculum" for an entire school year. (Maybe 3rd grade?) Almost everuything in the box was dated anywhere between 1938 to 1943. There were interesting pictures, and cardboard cutouts for decoration, etc...but at the bottom of the box, in two small envelopes were 3 sets of Arm&Hammer bird cards. they are in awesome shape!!! I know that these do not hold much value, and aren't all that highly saught after....it still gives me hope that there is still something there. Either way, thought Id share pics of the Arm&Hammer cards. There are (2) complete series 8 sets, and one series 3 set. I'm guessing from somewhere around 1935?

Original El Principe De Gales counter display which was a striker at one time which would have been used to light the match. You can see the small striker strip on the bottom of the base. Stands nearly a foot tall and made of metal so it's quite heavy.
It's stunning in person. ![]() ![]() ![]()
