Put me in the boat for the 51 Mays Rookie AUTO...it was nice!!! The card maybe was in the 3-ish grade. I had a snipe ready and all.
Boy was I wrong!!!! It stood at about 1800 with a few hrs left...I said maybe I had hopes of winning..SHHHISSS it went for 3,350

Curious what the autograph experts on this board thought about that one. GAI LOA, but then saw stuff posted on line saying GAI was still pretty well trusted when that authenticator (Mike Gutierrez) was there.

I found some old Mays autograph pics on line, but couldn't find any that looked like that (that said, didn't spend much time looking). Was an intriguing card to me, but also made me a little nervous.

I had that feeling as well, I kept asking myself- Why is this not graded/holdered already??? Would it not command more money???
And if I did win it, I got to factor in cost to send it off to do so and hope its not a worst case scenario.
I love to hear others chime in too on the auto.

I'm quite confident that's a wife or secretarial signed Mays.

So once again an authenticator blew it and someone paid a lot of money based on it. Nice.
