Usually what happens. Last time it happened to me it turned out it was one of the "sellers" on this site. Canceled my eBay bid to sell to another member on here.

Happened to me last week. I had the high bid on a Green Portrait TY Cobb under $1,000 and poof!! It was gone.

I have not had a bid cancelled but have on numerous occasions been notified a snipe had been cancelled because the auction had ended. Never sure if seller sold off line or was worried bids nearing the end were not up to his expectations. At one time if there were no bids I would place a low bid pending the snipe to make it less likely the item would be withdrawn...but that did not seem to have much benefit.

My buy it now 'sale' was cancelled due to a pricing error. Ebay has become a vast wasteland
