 The sign is approximately 19" in diameter. Its amazing to me that this sign survived up to about 7 years ago on the outside of a building without being disturbed.

Pre-1946 Wrigley Field Flag
Thanks Steve and Mike. Images tell us that these flags were in use prior to the 1938 season. This examples spans the period of 1939-1946 as it would have been current through the 1945 regular season. I suspect these flags may have been replaced annually or maybe every couple of years depending on wear. I am doing to some looking into Wrigley Field photos to see what is the earliest and what is the latest time frame that these flags can be found. Looking for forward to this project as I tend to spend most of my "baseball time" looking at other peoples stuff.
