I would leave it as is. The strictest grading company said it's near mint. Keep it that way.

Edit to add: those are awesome 52's!

I agree that the corner wear and general toning on the borders (and looks like possibly a stain on the bottom right and a print flaw on the left side?) would keep it far from an 8, and probably if it were submitted to PSA today, it would get a 6. If the number grade (7) is on the same line as the letter grade (NM), then it's an older-generation slab, and PSA is significantly more critical now than in years past, especially with high-end cards. In all the searching I have done, this is 100% true imo. All one has to do is look at cards on here and/or E-Bay and compare the new with the old.

I have noticed it numerous times and stated numerous times, I wish I had my cards graded back yrs ago when I received my Topps cards and not waited until now to do so.

If you haven't done so, take a look at the PSA grading criteria. It's a great place to read about what they look for in a card before assigning a grade.
