It will look better if you trim off the hanging/loose portion, and get it to resemble a point at the end. This one is actually a good candidate for that, as you can easily envision the end product with a better (albeit not perfect) tip. Many examples are not conducive to trimming.
Take it a little at a time, as you don't want to be too hasty. Nothing wrong with doing that, as long as you disclose it, when it comes time to sell. Pennant collectors typically do not want altered items... So you'd be doing this simply to approve its appearance and please yourself. Altering it for resale (without proper disclosure) borders on sleazy seller territory, IMO. Great pennant... A classic! As for politically incorrect, I'd still put some of those Big Nose Wahoo Indians Pennants and Screaming Braves wielding a Tomahawk ahead of it. Last edited by perezfan; 02-26-2016 at 01:24 PM. |

Thanks for the tip on the tips. I was actually afraid to snip the tip, but since I didn't buy it to flip, I might give it a rip - just a little clip. |

For a couple of pennants with a little of the tip missing, I've taken a small clip with sharp scissors in the shape resembling the tip from the back of the main portion of the pennant BEHIND the strip on the left side. If the strip goes all the way to the edge, you can't tell anything is missing (from the front). Then take some strong tape, cut on one end in the shape of the new tip, and long enough to adhere to the back of the pennant, and attach the faux tip.
