Those are so cool! The names of the wrestlers take me back to high school. Thanks for posting them, loved it!

Thanks for the comments guys.

I purchased an Epson V600 recently and the scans finally do the cards justice.

I went through my large stack of magazines and programs and pulled out one of each of the adds that feature different wrestlers to scan. They ran the adds numerous times and featured different performers based on the program or magazine that was offered in the various territories. I chose one of each. There are a few missing that I have scanned with my old scanner but need to find them and will add those at some point.

This was ran for example only in three programs from the AWA.

This was ran for the CWA in Memphis.

This was for the WWF.

From Mid South.

The AWA.

Introducing the 1983 set.

The 1983 set in an AWA program.

Reading about the very rare back Ty Cobb got me to thinking about this card.

So far the only known blank back Andre The Giant. PSA wouldn't grade it so I sent it to SGC.

Unbelievable 82 Wrestling All-Stars collection, I never knew that alot of those classic wrestlers were even in the set (Big Jon Studd, Steamboat, Curt Hennig) and all in high grade.

I have the Ric Flair in an 8 and paid a pretty penny for it so I can't imagine what some of your PSA 10's are worth.

Congrats again

I went to The Gathering in Charlotte this weekend and got a good number of cards signed. It was a great time!

My primary goal was to get Slaughter to sign the card I cracked out of a PSA 9 holder. I made sure he was super careful with it and it came out great.

Default Sorry wrong thread but wrestling card threads are hard to come by

What do you think of the annual cards? 1973-78. Are they actually rare or do people just not care to grade them?

The 73s have a decent little following and I have the top graded set on the PSA registry.....as for the others from 1978 and 1981, they fit into supersize PSA holders so those mostly are sold by individual cards and not really for set builders.....i have sold many 73s over the years and still am selling them....

After seeing a thread on another trading card message board talking about rare cards it got me to thinking about this one.

The only card I own that is actually rare. The only known Blank Back Andre. I posted this a long time ago but since my threads were ruined by Photobucket I will post it again.

I think these cards present very well in an SGC holder. I like the handheld holder with no background that PSA uses better but for display I could see many liking this presentation more.
