That is exceedingly rare, and absolutely authentic.
A group of those surfaced about two years ago on eBay. I was only able to land the Red Sox (Batting Sock Mascot) and the White Sox. They are distinguished by the unique logos and the Criss-cross stitching in the middle of the felt reinforcement strip... Not meant to accommodate a stick, apparently! Great post and great pennant. Only one I've ever seen in 25 years of collecting!
