funny how ricky henderson when on the As would ask to not play in games every time jose cancseco didnt want to play because mad that canseco made 5 million a year when they wouldnt pay Rickey that kind of money and the As said the would never pay anyone more than 3 million a year....according to Larussa...

also Canseco said he an entertainer..not there to win games...and larussa said Canseco said 'why do we always have to make the playoffs' because he wanted to go home and enjoy life basically...

This thread really is mainly for me to grow my collection of Canseco since I'm a big fan of his. Was curious as to why you would post this here?

just interesting...I like Canseco...just pointing out what a character he is..and thought it better to post here than start a new thread on him...

Ah, gotcha - I thought this was just a baseball version of "yo mama is so fat ..." I understand now that you were just bringing up some little known facts about the past. While not flattering for him, Interesting stuff nonetheless!

haha...cmon now..its not like hes cal ripken and im pointing how some stuf on him ...everyone knows canseco has a lot of stuff that follows him around, he has lots of people that love him no matter what either way.....the fact he made 5 million dollars in a year wasnt an indictment against him.. it was going against rickey henderson for not playing.....

An interesting thing about Canseco is he had mentioned in his book that he could out run Rickey in a sprint for (I don't know measurements). I asked him in person about it, and he confirmed saying he was able to beat him in a race. Because of this, I asked him to sign a cleat "Faster than Rickey".



It looks smudged in the pic, but it is not. One of my favorite pieces! Note: I'm a big Rickey fan as well.
