I helped my sister look for a 53 Bowman for my brother in law for Christmas. In my looking and research I spoke with a few friends who are dealers and their general concensus is that all early 50's Mantle card are caught up in the up swing of the 52 Topps explosion. Last year I purchased a 52 Bowman Mantle to finish my set. I paid a fair price at the time but a year later it has risen to where if I wanted I could probably flip it for a little profit.
My point is I think all five of his main stream cards from 51 through 53 are experiencing a steady climb. The question is how high will they go and will they plateau or drop off but that a discussion for a different thread. Drew
