For many collectors, it is akin to mountain climbing.
The whole joy and point is the journey of getting to the top. Sure, once you're there, you'll have a look about, take a few pictures, maybe celebrate, but then you're done and move on. I recognized this about myself (as a collector) which has fundamentally changed how I've structured some of my longer-term projects, which are, by definition, less structured and not possible for completion.
