Agreed. There's not much difference between a low-baller and a scammer - both try and take advantage of someone. The only difference is the low-baller tries to act like he's doing you a favor to make you feel good about the deal.

I guess there's no real harm in it, but it always feels insulting to me, like someone thinks you're stupid.
