Great bat - this post makes me want to know what other player model YMCA bats are out there. I know I've seen Shoeless and Daubert. Who else?

Default I've always wondered...

I have an Eddie Collins YMCA bat, but I've always wondered if so many bats were shipped overseas during the war, why haven't more turned up in France or neighboring countries like this Lajoie? Even if, say 95% of them didn't survive the last nearly 100 years, there should be 10,000 left somewhere still. Just thinking....

Default Bats

If a bat is engraved with a ME and circled with an arrow through it…..I was always told it stood for Military Edition and those type bats were also shipped overseas….perhaps this will help a few turn up.

I would bet MANY of them were used for post-war firewood. It's cold over there.
Especially in war torn areas where many houses were destroyed.
