I recently picked this "odd-ball" card up in a lot...a 1960 ED-U-CARDS 41 Babe Ruth

Cool Babe. He "made" home runs.

I don't think you can get that much more odd-ball than "KIELBASA POWER"! Love it... Thanks so much for the pic; VERY cool.
Also, that Yaz patch is NICE! Thanks you guys for posting some oddball stuff; you'd probably get tired of seeing Brooksie oddball junk if you didn't. ![]() Last edited by Mark70Z; 11-14-2015 at 09:33 PM. |

Thanks, that patch is a 1978 Penn Emblem player patch. It's currently at PSA. They grade the set, but have never graded the Yaz.

Love the oddball stuff and enjoy viewing others collections. I particularly like the player collector items, but other stuff is cool as well. Need to post some more Yaz stuff if you have additional odd items... |

They do grade the Penn Emblem Patches. The most famous one with the most graded copies is the Pete Rose, which comes in 2 (or 3?) variations. The Yaz isn't part of the master set composite because there are no graded copies. As soon as mine is graded I will have it added to the master composite and send my friend Manny scrambling. He has the #1 Yaz Master.
Ask and ye shall receive. More oddball Yaz: ![]() Pink = pop 4, 1 higher ![]() Green = pop 1, 2 higher ![]() Salmon = pop 2, none higher. I have no idea why the color of this scan is so bad. All the scans of the other matchbooks came out good. Anyway, this really is salmon colored, lol. ![]() Aqua = pop 2, none higher I also have the orange matchbook in PSA 6. There are still 5 colors I want to eventually add to my master set.

Thanks so much for posting the Yaz matchbooks. Those are very nice! Wish Brooks had something like those; that would be a fun search for all of the different colors. The condition you have them in is amazing to me!

Thanks for your kind words. I bought my 5 matchbooks raw at a show for $2 each. I passed on other colors that were in worse condition. That same dealer had the kielbasa labels. And the next time I went to that show I bought the Penn Emblem patch from him.
I think that about does it for truly oddball Yaz items. I have a bunch of pins and food discs and such, but nothing as unusual as what I've already posted.
