Picked up this Walter Johnson game top and tokens at a local auction today. Nobody bid against me so I'm fairly certain I'm the only one there that knew what it was and that there were tokens inside the top.

Another holy grail item off the list!
Ever since I first saw one of these circa 1939 Johnny Vander Meer Goldsmith glove boxes in Carlton's epic pictorial of The National a few years ago, I've wanted one for my personal collection. The graphics and color really pop...
I finally pulled the trigger in today's Hunt Louisville Slugger Auction. The box also comes with a very nice AG65 Vander Meer endorsed glove (correct right handed mitt for a lefty hurler) and custom acrylic case for display. This will look great with my Vander Meer endorsed balls and 1939 Goldsmith catalogue featuring Vandy. I'm a happy camper today. Another neat item off my holy grail list!

Ken - I had completely forgotten that Miggy played for, and won a WS with, the Marlins. Does anyone know why "Wilson" is on a SAM Bat? Dan - love the game. How is it played? and Scott - yet another great pickup for the #1 Vander Meer collector.
