Picked this up, thought it went for a steal. Love the color and the image.

I picked up the 1926 Sports Co. Walter Johnson and the Old Judge Harry Stovey. I guess I'm now rooting for Stovey to make the Hall of Fame.

Problems copying photo but got the 1921 E121-80 Frank Baker cards. The J Franklin Baker variety will be for sale and the Frank Baker will be crossed over to SGC.

Wow Jeff, I never comment on 20th century cards, but that is flat-out impressive. Congrats!

Nice card Jeff

If it was Certified High End, then I would be more impressed.

Nice stuff guys, congrats on the pickups. Been waiting patiently (ok, impatiently) on this auction ever since I got the catalog. Ended up being a bitter auction night for me. I was the underbidder on an incredible 1924 Notre Dame team signed photo that included the Four Horsemen, and I was the underbidder on a 1920's autograph baseball signed by Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, John McGraw, Kennesaw Landis, Ring Lardner, Nick Altrock and another.

And because those two lots went later than many others in extended time, I was not able to shift my funds around to other items that I would have bid higher on compared to what they sold at.

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. (at least tonight LOL)

Mike's situation is a perfect illustration of why lot by lot closing sucks for consignors

Great pickup for an absolute steal compared to earlier sales! Where will the BSF E98s bottom out?

I managed to snag one of the BSF beauties as well, the Bresnahan, at a great price. Is there some new stigma attached to these beautiful cards; they seem to selling at a significant discount? Other scores were OJ "Truthful" Jim, E92 Gibson, E120 Cobb, W501 Cobb, '14 CJ Marquard and SK Ruth. A great haul, but now I am card rich and cash poor. Life is hard when you are a dealer with the soul of a collector. John

There's no stigma, except there are north of a bajillion of them! The other day I saw a few in a toy arcade outside Walmart.
