Any particular reason why you chose Lumley?
Thanks Bryan!
Lumley was my first T206 so he is my favorite card and add that to the fact his backs looked very attainable made it a go. Surprisingly to me, as I don't study these things, the OM along with the SC factory 25s are the toughest to find.

That's interesting. I've been looking for Merkle portrait cards, and the Old Mill has been the hardest one to find as well.

Don't "misunderestimate" the difficulty of 150/350 subjects with OM.

They are roughly as difficult as 150/350 subjects with Brown Hindu.

Edited to add: The reason is that OM printing did not start until after the 150 print run had been completed and the 350 print run was reasonably well underway.

Is there a simple explanation as to why there is no Polar Bear backed Lumley?

One of the other guys will probably have to chime in here but I don't think the PB backs were printed until later print groups and Lumley was in Print Group 1.

Default Some OM are tough

At Scot noted above, with my T206 Lajoie Throwing back run, I literally came across 6 Brown Hindu backs before seeing my first OM back on that card (and then that OM card was REALLY beat up).

Some OM backs can be nearly impossible to find.

Pretty much what Donnie said -- Lumley is a 150/350 subject and PB printing didn't start until after these subjects were mothballed. On the other hand, OM printing started a little earlier than PB printing so there was a small period of overlap where 150/350 subjects were printed with OM. Hence the existence of 150/350 subjects with OM in small quantities.

Nice run Donnie!

Glad you got it completed.

Keep an eye out for that SC 150/25 though.
