Great piece, Leon! Doesn't say much for football in Santa Fe in 1929, though

Not from Santa Fe, New Mexico, but Santa Fe Railroad. 1929 championship was supposed to be held Dec 15, 1929 between the San Bernardino Apprentices and the Newton(Kansas) Santa Fe team. But for some reason they played Dec 8th in San Bernardino. The trophy shown was the "master mechanics trophy". Newton won the game. A newspaper article states that "ten baseball clowns gave a football exhibition prior to the game, whom are probably the subjects in the photo.
