I think I read (in SABR?) that he was not a Native American, but he got that nickname at Bowdoin or something like that.
But he was from Old Town, Maine, and there is a high population of Penobscots there, so maybe? I have no idea.

Picked up this Yogi Berra 1949 GU All Star bat. By far the best pick up I've ever had.

Nice pickup Ron!!!

Been a little bored with the hobby lately so started buying bats of six players that I enjoyed watching when I was a kid... Recently added this cool Ellis Burks, and a monster Mo Vaughn

That's a gorgeous bat Ron! And nice bats as well to Dave...I have thought going into the used bats collecting field,...but haven't made the jump yet...cool start!
