Don't rain on my parade, Franklin. It been a lifelong dream to start the monthly pickup tread, and I got up at 5 in the morning, praying I would be first.

Ah yes. White Castle's rat burgers give the term "sliders" a whole new, and rather disgusting, meaning.

Lummis Peanut Butter/Sealtest Printers Proof cards.
The only two of these that were actually issued are the Rowe and the Seminick. Given the inclusion of Pennock, these were likely produced some time in 1947 or very early 1948. The sets were not released until 1949. All of the cards are different sizes, as if they were trying to find which one would work best for their needs. Not just the overall size of the proofs, but also the interior images are of different sizes. These are so interesting as the names and the borders along the images are both raised. Just incredibly interesting stuff. I have to think that the Pennock is his last image on a card before he passed away. I will be making these available shortly in the BST. ![]() ![]() Tom C |
