The old ladies in my town finally took the plastic covers off of their sofas this weekend.

Having been raised in a Roman Catholic household - and - having then lived in South Philly for a decade or so as a young adult, I truly know what you mean.

After the plastic covers are removed, it would be time to wash the china that nobody else is allowed to eat from.

Please don't take offense, Leon...just talking about shared experiences.

Best regards to all,

Eric

Wasn't just Catholic or Philly. We were NYC Jews and we had china we never used. My aunt had the plastic sofa covers but my parents one upped her and designated an entire room, ironically called the "living room", as one where no one was allowed to go into unless it was a "special occasion".

Now, we know the pope has a RC, but can you find him in the pizza?

I wonder how long it will be before they come out with Papal Autograph/Relic cards, and pre-rookie cards for promising Cardinals.

And as I stand outside typing that, an acorn fell out of a tree and almost whacked me on the head. How's that for Catholic guilt?

All Robert did was make a joke, and not even at your expense. You must be the most thin-skinned individual on this site.

And another thing: don't tell us what we can post or not post in your thread.

Goodbye.

Bye Richard.

Figured you were joking, but I'm assuming you're not at this point...

Is it a bad time for an aging metalhead to make a joke about Satan?

That was a SGA in Philly I see now, but most people are asking around $25 for one. Wow, seems a bit steep. I see bids on a few in the $10-15 range, but didn't bother to look up completed auctions to see what they ultimately went for. Appears he has an A&G card from 2013, so certainly not a first card by any stretch.
