OT: whenever I see that 1969 card #1 I have to chuckle. Danny Cater finished second in the 1968 batting title race…when he only batted .290!!!!!!!!!!! A measly .290 got him forever on a leaders card. (Golf clap.)
Edited to add: If you look on the back of the card, the top 50 batters are listed. 21 of them batted below .250, and the last player listed is Paul Blair at .211. The year of the pitcher indeed!!
