Two thoughts:
1) Soaking won't remove it and may cause bleeding 2) I hope this doesn't turn into another Dick Towle thread |

I doubt it would help at all and would probably make things worse.
I've never tried soaking a 50's card, but I do have some that are water damaged. I'd rather have a pen mark. Steve B |

Don't know about fountain pen ink, but a lot of pen inks don't dissolve in water. And if you could dissolve it, it would probably make thinks worse.
