That is brutal. You have my sympathies. '93 Topps Jeters tend to have issues with the dark green background but even that looks flawless. I wonder what they saw, if anything to knock it down to a 5.
I have one of these lined up for my next submission and now I'm terrified.

I thought this was the better of the two I submitted and the other one got a 9. I'm pretty much at a loss as to where this grade came from.

If the card came back an EX 5 there is probably a minor wrinkle or line indent that is very difficult to see. Happens fairly frequently especially if you buy raw vintage graded NMMT by some dealers.
