I picked up this Exhibit from Leon's auction yesterday. Thank you Leon!
I love this card. It features a young Dimaggio at the start of his career and Gehrig wrapping his up. Kind of a Yankee Passing of the Torch card. I'm not sure if they share any other cards during both of their playing years. Anyone know of any others? |

I was able to pick up this magnificent trio from Leon's Type Card Auction:
The 1904 WG2 Fan Craze Eddie Plank is my second different Plank card; The 1923 WG7 Walter Mails Game - Walter Johnson is my second 'Double-Walter' from this set (the other being Mr. Mails himself); The 1904 Allegheny Card Co. - Joe McGinnty is my sixth Allegheny and my first Hall-of-Famer from this one-of-one set. Thanks again - Leon 1904 Fan Craze - Eddie Plank SGC 80.jpg 1923 WG7 Walter Mails Game Walter Johnson SGC 80.jpg 1904 Alleghent Card Co Joe McGinnty SGC 40.jpg

Thank you. That's interesting about the photo/card collection your friend has, Lewis. I imagine he has some T206 cards based off of Charles Conlon photographs as well?

Had 2 of my "I didn't go to National" purchases arrive today thanks to Jay (OldJudge).
Ed "Cannonball" Morris played for the 1884 Columbus Buckeyes before being sold to Pittsburgh at the end of the season with the rest of the team. Jack Crooks played on the 1889 - 1891 Columbus Solons, but never had a card issued with that team. He did have this issue with the St. Louis Whites and another one with Omaha (still searching for that one).
