I am happy to say Large Ass Buck Herzog made the Net54baseball dinner again last night. I want to thank whomever made it happen in getting him to me. We were having a few cold ones pretty late last night and all went well with Buck. He said he wasn't feeling well so was having having soda to drink.

However, when I got up this morning Buck was MIA. I had forgotten to bring Buck back to my room. I scampered down to the ballroom and frantically looked for him. After about 10 minutes he was found. A worker had put him in one of the banquet workers offices. Buck is safe and will be looking for his next adventure soon.

Probably best you forgot to bring Buck back to your room for the night....who knows what could have happened.

It appears that Buck was wearing protection (a body condom!). There was probably nothing to worry about.

Default Midwest Buck

Buck took a little "no coast" vacation to Missouri to hang out with me for a couple months.
I took him over to MU to show him the columns.

They were doing maintenance, but we stuck our heads through the fence and snapped a pic.

We said our goodbyes to Shakespeare's. They tore it down the next day...

Here's the Missouri Capitol building in Jefferson City.

I took Buck to KC for a game.

The Royals lost, but Salvador Perez hit a homer in the 9th that was caught by this guy...

We strolled downtown KC and hit up the farmer's market.

Then drove by the Schlitterbahn water park to get a look at Verrückt (the world's tallest water slide),
but Buck thought it was a bad idea so we moved on.

We spent a couple days in Lawrence, Kansas. We gave props to Phog Allen, but also sent bad vibes for the upcoming season.

The water level is up, better stay clear.

I think we're lost...

We made a stop in Topeka to visit the Kasas State Capitol.

If you build it...

We headed over to Pittsburgh. Even though Buck had been there before he was up

for the trip. He got down on the field and sat in the dugout.

We also visited the Warhol museum. We couldn't take pictures inside, but were

inspired to create "Buckhol".

Then off to Cinci for the Home Run Derby & All Star Game.

We sat in the bleachers for the Derby and got damn close, but didn't catch a ball. Maybe next year.

We ran into the Marlins Man.

The Hall of Fame had an exhibit in the convention center.

As coincidence would have it, we checked out the Hunt auction where one of Buck's personal presentation bat awards was being offered:

http://huntauctions.com/live/imagevi...=287&lot_qual=

It was out of my budget (and did not sell), but I picked up a cool 1946 Vargas team photo w/ Campanella so I left happy.

We hit up the Gateway Classic Cars Sports Show in O'Fallon, IL. Tons of awesome cars here, but all I took home was a Chief Meyers Standard Biscuit.

Buck met Buck...

The 1967 World Series Trophy in the Cardinals Champions Club.

That's a winner! The Cards beat Colorado 9-8 after being down by 3 in the bottom of the 9th.

On the way to Chicago...

I got in town for the National a little later than expected, but just in time to hand off Buck so he could party with Leon.

What happened later that night, the world may never know...
