I have annual guy get together to watch the derby. We were all interested to see the new format. It has been getting drug out more and more and more the last few years. We all felt this new format made it pick up the pace and much more interesting in the long run. It was weird having "time outs" and a clock in baseball though.

I liked the new format a lot BUT...if I was going to improve it (imo) I would make the first round not head to head. Let each player hit as many home runs in the first round in 4 minutes and the best 4 players move on to the head to head rounds.
