My family lived in Manhattan and environs from 1954-1961 during which time I saw many games at Yankee Stadium. Steinbrenner did a number on the place in the early 70's and thereafter it didn't look a bit like the ballpark I remember. One of the benefits of being an old dinosaur is to have wonderful memories of days at that grand ballyard watching the boys of an ancient summer play baseball.
