Adam, those look like sweet binders. Not too pricey either.

Mark, about the mylar sleeves you showed me earlier, do they make those with holes to clip into a binder?

Does Ultra Pro make a mylar page for this purpose, with the holes to clip into a binder? The ones I have seen them sell are made of propylene. This seems ok, but not as good as mylar.

Robert,
I am not sure if they come with holes for binders. I have not seen them, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do.
Ben showed me these binders that he uses and I now use as well. For many photos, I'll put them in Mylars and then in the album

Mark, I bought one of the Itoya art portfolios today. I am going to also get the mylar sleeves you and Adam mentioned. Thanks to each of you for all the feedback. Hopefully I can acquire something to put in it in July's auction.

Ultra Pro is just dandy for run of the mill items. They are made from polyethylene, which is much better than vinyl, bit not considered archival despite the ads. Mylar [polyester] is really the gold standard. It is considered inert and is recommended by the Library of Congress. I switched most of my really good items to mylar holders recently, the things I want to keep as long as I collect. Cost me about $500 in materials.

Does anyone know what RMY and other auction houses ship them in when you win? Are they these ones that have been mentioned in previous posts?

They ship in polyethylene pages from office depot/staples. OK for the purpose but not what you want to store in for your collection.

I noticed that Ultra Pro now has 8 x 10 and 8.5 x 11 mylar sleeves. There are some for sale on eBay.

I saw that, Adam. The price of the Ultra Pros is pretty good....about $51 for 100 as opposed to $36 for 50 for the Mylite 4s I was about to order.
