In 2000, the Mets offered fans the opportunity to buy tickets via "ETM" ticket kiosks in malls and such. Unfortunately, most of the information that would identify the ticket - which, in this case, is practically everything - has faded. You might be surprised to learn that this scanned image...

Thanks everyone for the replies and feedback. I'll more than likely scan it, do a little Photoshop to the scan to make it darker and frame it.
Here's the story behind the ticket... I was traveling home for winter break from Purdue in 2008, and was shocked to see the Davidson Men's Basketball team was on my flight from IND to CLT. I saw Curry chilling with his teammates, I kindly approached him asking for his autograph on my plane ticket. He was very kind, signed it and we joke around since I was decked out in my Purdue swag and Davidson had just lost to Purdue the night before. When Curry went to board the plane, I didn't realize, he accidentally gave me his boarding pass somehow along with my signed boarding pass. When I saw Curry boarding the plane, I saw him searching, quickly realizing what may of happen.I checked my backpack, saw Curry boarding pass. So I went over to him and said," I think you might need this." He laughed and said," Just a little..." lol. Turns out, I would sit next to Curry on the plane! We talked the whole flight down to CLT, talking about Batman, the then "new" Dark Knight Batman movie and other sports. After all these years, fame, and money.... he's still seems to be that same nice humbled guy back when I met him. Last edited by GoCubsGo32; 06-24-2015 at 08:36 PM. |
