I was very excited when this one arrived. I've always wanted a Babe Ruth card and I have always loved this pose. One of my favorites, other than his rookie, which is a little out of reach.

Lot of history with that photo. Love seeing the guys dressed in suits and hats. That shot is so much more than just Shoeless Joe. Nice!

Haven't had many pickups worth sharing lately, but I did manage to grab this from Goodwin.

Which fits in nicely with these...

I love the colors on the orange background E98s. Very nice pickup Chris, I was the underbidder. I managed to snag 4 E98s in that auction but the orange McLean was one I whiffed on. With all the zillion red backgrounds and some green backgrounds in the Black Swamp Find, orange background E98s are starting to make a nice jump in value.

Hi Bob, I agree the Orange backgrounds are really seeing a price surge. They are the most visually appealing to me as well. I almost didn't go the last bid increment on this one, but I already had the other three colors of McLean and the completionist in me said go for it.

The auction had an amazing selection of E98s. Which 4 were you able to pick up?

I picked up an orange Chase, green McLean, orange Meyers and green Tenny (Tenney). I am in completist mode too regarding the E98s, trying to get the master set. Those 4 and the orange McLean you won were 5 I needed. Still need a couple more color variations. They are tough, but not as scarce to find as the handful of E94 color variations I need to complete that master set. The Chase, McLean and Meyers have great fronts and look like PSA 5-7s at first glance but have tiny paper loss on the backs. The Tenny is just a solid 4 and nice too.

Can someone explain why Jackson is batting right-handed in this photo?

The catcher appears left handed too. Maybe a reversed image.

How did Beckett determine that to be Jackson?

Thanks everyone, very happy to add a Babe Ruth card. Still by far the all time greatest player, in my opinion.

That is a pretty sweet card, pokerplyr80. I guess if you can’t find a Toad Ramsey, a Babe Ruth is the next best thing.

Congratulations, Jesse!

That's a great card. It's my favorite card, too.

Got one of those at the National last year. My favorite Ruth pose as well. Yours is much nicer. Congrats on a great card!
