I received my issue in the mail (I'm an advertiser) but haven't had a chance to look through it yet. I think the publisher is working hard to keep vintage sports art alive and relevant, and he's got a healthy respect for the types of items we all collect. Sooner or later I'm going to pick up a few of the cabinet cards for my collection - I don't care what they're worth, or what they'll be worth ten years from now, I just think they look cool and I'm happy to support someone who's trying to keep our hobby alive.

The magazine will be available at Barnes & Noble as well, by the way.

I noticed there's a nice article about an apartment that was shared by Christy Mathewson and John McGraw; I can't wait to have a few spare minutes to dig into it.

I picked up a few of his L1 Leather look-a-likes early on when he did them. They are close in size to the originals--maybe 75-80% the size but on very thick leather. Laser-etched I guess and very high quality. He definitely puts TONS of effort into what he makes and the quality is always good. I have a couple of the cabinet cards too. The 1933 Goudey look-a-likes bring HUGE money on ebay. Not sure they'll maintain that value but you can't buy them for any reason other than the look as an art card.
