I have a Bres no #. There was a Crawford PSA3 on eBay about a year ago which sold for less than $350. I was kicking myself for not trying to get it. I think at the time I still had my 14 PSA 4 Crawford and was debating whether to sell or keep it.

How many current completed sets for both 14 and 15 do you think are out there both raw and graded? For 14 I'm thinking less than 10 complete. Don't know about 1915...

Most recent sale of Pratt PSA 4 for 1915 CJ was $57.
Right now at $430 in eBay auction... |

It was the same two guys battling it out over the Pratt. I'm glad I had a couple of cards to sell them, but we may be out of the market until they've moved on to something else. WOW!

I love the CJ HOFers and can only afford the '15s. I remember missing out on my dream example of the Shoeless at a LOTG auction (graded a 2).
Several months later, a friend wound up brokering a sale of it from the collector who won it at that auction. I paid north of the winning bid at LOTG, which was in itself a record high at that time. Here I am about a year later, and have received unsolicited emails from a few random collectors in the past six months asking to buy the card, with two offers above 10k. Unless it's to fund the pipe dream of reaching for a T210 Old Mill, I am not interested in parting with the CJ, but thought this was anecdotal evidence of the noted pricing uptick. |
