I don't claim to be an expert, but I have collected Garvey items for many years. I only have one item I received in person as well, just for perspective. However, that one just looks funny to me. The "St" transition doesn't look at all like what I am used to seeing.
I have a signed 82 Fleer, by the way. I am not 100% sure about it, but it does seen to look similar to what is signature looks like though. I'll never know for sure and I am certainly n ot planning to send it to PSA, so it will remain a mystery as long as I own it.
