As they say, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think having any "scarce" card in any condition is a pretty cool thing, especially when That piece of cardboard is a passion.

Congrats to everyone on their pickups this month, it's great to see everyone's little nugget of gold.

Don't get me wrong. I love mine too. I wasnt trying to take away from any of the cards. Im not big on condition prewar. To have one is to have one in my book. The thrill of the hunt is what keeps me going.

Default Super excited by this pick-up, especially card number 275

Several months ago, when Brian let me know that a couple of cards in a large lot of T206s had Howe's stamp on them and they would be in an upcoming REA auction, I was really hoping that I would be able to get my hands on these. Especially the McQuillan, as it is only the second example I've seen that uses Howe's first name, then his middle initial, then the title Agent, Saturday Evening Post. And just like the other, it is stamped in green ink, not the usual black/sorta purple on the other 273 I have, and the 31 I know exist but aren't mine.

I lucked out, and board member Brent was the winner of the lot, and worked with me to add these to the rest in the rebuilt collection.

Again, thanks go to so many people on the board who have helped me with this project.

Default Remember when...

You could read autographs?

This beauty arrived today!

Great combination of a card I've wanted and a fantastic signature:
