We have a code on this board about outing auctions. I know the T206 has a 99.44% chance of being a fake, but the second card in the auction may be what people are actually bidding on.

The point is he's trying to sell the t206 one.
"The picture of the GIA authenticity I thought was part of the Philadelphia Caramel card. But it goes to a photo signed by Roger Maris. However, both cards are encapsulated and are serial numbered." He's claiming that their authentic by a GAI authenticity paper that has nothing to do with EITHER card. Sketchy photos that you can barely see anything including the GAI authenticity info. I highly doubt anything is real in this auction. So if this is outing then shame on me. I'm trying to make people AVOID this mistake.

If it was just the fake Plank I wouldn't have had a problem. Obviously, it's a buyer beware situation. It's odd that one of the cards is likely real and the other is fake, with a certification that doesn't belong to the group. Add to the fact that it's a seller with 7 feedbacks, and everyone on this board already knows not to bid on it, right? If you had posted it with the terms "Beware everyone; the T206 Plank in the invented holder is a fake!" I wouldn't have had as much of a problem.
I considered posting about it as well, but I was going to wait until it closed, since I didn't see any real risk of someone here actually bidding in this auction.

I'm sorry if I offended you are you a moderator ??? As far as I knew only Leon was. I don't believe either card is genuine. It seem's like you're getting awfully touchey for no reason unless you're trying to sell that.

Not a moderator. Not trying to "sell that."
Just a guy who likes to find stuff on eBay.

Both of ya'll are correct. Generally we don't like it when members out ongoing auctions because it draws more attention to them for the folks that want to bid, which isn't great for the bidders. That being said, anyone paying a grand for either of those cards is making a mistake, imo. With respect to ongoing auctions, I take them on a case by case basis. With this one I really don't think it mattered and probably will help a bit more than hurt. It's not legit, or if it is, that caramel Plank is already at 2x it's value, especially with the top bidders having 0 feedback. I would take odds on those not being legit bids.
