I like most here have only had a few items come back PSA 10. This card weather PSA 9 or 10 sells for good money. Start with a room that you can control light only have one light source directly over where you will look at card. with a large magnifying lens 2 or 5 x look at card corners edges and surface for any (REALLY ANY) imperfections grain of sand against card left small indentation on surface etc. If you can find none on front OR back then you have a better than average chance to get a high grade and worth sending in IF you have enough cards to get the cheap monthly deal of 6 or 7 bucks a card. Just MHO Good luck

True. I am putting together 1997 and 1999 Topps PSA 10 sets for my kids birth years. I should have clarified. But these cards are from 1993. I would consider that modern. The main thing I have found that helps me, is the 40x lighted magnifying glass. I am sure there are plenty of cards that would grade 10 that I don't send in, but since I am taking a huge bath on these projects anyways, I need to make sure of a high percentage of 10's. The 40x helps me with that. If I was grading vintage, I am sure my 10 percentage would be closer to 10% or maybe even less.
I wasn't trying to cut on you, sorry if you took it that way. |

I think you would have a better shot with regaining your money if you graded with BGS on these. That is just my opinion.

$260.00 Best offer accepted on $350. Don't know for sure. 7 PSA 10's Gem Mint sold $331 $332 $399 Best Offer Accepted. Don't know for sure, but likely between $332 and $353 as I had them listed lowest price + Shipping and it fell between these two. $353 $372 $450 $495 I think I would go with PSA. |

Also basing it off two cards, where we nothing is know about when the cards were listed or who the seller was, is not enough statistical data in order to make and assumption. For that time period of card BGS statistically has better sales than PSA on the same cards for the same grades. Why? Who knows. One company is not better than the other. It is the preference of the buyer. David |
