He had long career in baseball. Started out as a batboy for the Red Sox & Braves in 1939 and eventually worked in the front office for the Braves in the late 40s. I know he also worked for the Astros in the 70s.

Mr. Davidson wrote a book titled Caught Short -- I read said book a long time ago and IIRC -- it's a fun read
