In 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, I did not participate.

In 1972, I staged a one-man boycott but did not get any publicity.

In 1976, I injured myself in a bizarre lawn-maintenance accident and had not fully recovered in time to compete.

In 1980, I totally missed the games because of an extended sugar-induced coma.

For the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, I did, in fact, make an appearance - just not there.

In 1988, I had a sugar-based relapse that I will not discuss.

In 1992, I was married and therefore had no control over the balls I usually played with.

In 1996, Just before I divorced her, my ex deflated my balls extending my inability to play with them at any competitive level.

In 2000, I caught the millennium bug and coughed continually for seven weeks, severely straining my groin.

After that, I just decided my future involvement would be limited to non-competitive hamburger consumption.

Or the "pole" vault. But definitely not the breaststroke, he could only wish.

On a semi-serious note, I had a shot at qualifying for the Olympic trials as a boxer in 1976 when I injured my shoulder. I remember watching the games with my Dad. After seeing Sugar Ray Leonard, he turned to me and said, "Tommy, I gotta tell you... you got a lucky break, you would never lay a glove on that guy". That ended my boxing career.

Wonka would've/could've been a star in the ancient Olympics where all of the athletes competed in the nude.

I think Frank came in 4th overall in wrestling (Athens 456 BC)
