I just grabbed these: 1) 1945-46 Caramelo Deportivo (Felices) #72 Ray Berres NY Giants 2) 1943 Cigarrera Bigott #189 Santiago Rondon of Gavilanes Pitcher 3) 1952-53 Victoria Jorge Lopez of Habana Infielder 4) 1946-47 Sport Kings (Propagandas Montiel) #54 Paul M Derringer *None PSA* Cincinnati Reds 5) 1950-51 Toleteros Al Cihoki Mayaguez 6) 1943 La Ambrosia Carlos Torres of Cardenas 3rd Base Cards are paper thin, and the backs are all very clean. Very happy with the Buy-It-Now option on the lot I got them with.

John,
#2 is from the 1943 Cigarrera Bigott set issued in Venezuela. #3 is from the 1952-53 Victoria set issued in Cuba. #4 is from Cuba. #5 on your list "1950-51 Toleteros" is actually a 1951-52 Denia card issued in Puerto Rico. Considerably more rare than Toleteros. #6 is from Cuba. -Ryan |

Thanks for the help on those! No back scans on the auction listing made it tough to decipher, but when you label the auction "Cricketers Pretty Ladies Film Stars Navy" and then not even mention the six rare baseball cards, I had to hit the Buy-It-Now before someone else made a bid on the item... ;-)

my first 1 of 1 :)
I recent pick up of an unappreciated figure in baseball history. Mike Gonzalez (on the right in this La Campana premium) was a fair player with a long playing tenure. But he is ignored as the first Latino manager as he served a couple of interm stints with the Cardinals in the 1930's. Rumored, by Willie Wells, to have been a light skinned black man
