Kenny:

Some of those Billiken cards appear to have black borders, never seen them before. Or are they part of the background that SGC has inserted to keep the card from moving?

Phil, all of the Billikens are standard - none have black borders. It must be the insert that is giving that illusion.

@ MattyC: Some day i will get me a Gehrig, like the one posted. Some day.

Despite loving post-war, i seen some great looking one here so far and amazed by them.
That ghost stuff is bizarre by all means.

Finally got these two this year. Charlie Bennett's history with Detroit is really interesting. I love the n28 set - just wish I could afford the Anson. I'm one of the weirdos who likes the '34 Goudeys more than the '33's.
And I'm drooling over that t227 Cobb - wow!
